// Western powers have blindly walked into a war that they cannot understand or control. They have ignored intelligence, underestimated their opponent and they will stop at nothing. Iran has every right to defend itself. For the US, israel and the western allies, this is a war of CHOICE. Iran is no threat to the people in the western world. US assets and bases in the GCC, sites participating in the attacks on Iran are legitimate targets- these are defensive, retaliatory strikes. They just want to be left alone. It's time for people in the west to wake up to the reality of this war, break down the propaganda and demand a meaningful change.

86% of the membership voted in favour of this motion in June 2025. This motion was then simplified by Amnesty's UK Board and sent through to the GLOBAL ASSEMBLY where Amnesty's real power is- it was REJECTED!
Signs for war with Iran are evolving, this is a highly dangerous situation that needs to be challenged.
